PUEBLO Celebrates 19th Anniversary

People United for a Better Life in Oakland (PUEBLO) held its 19th Annual Dinner Celebration on November 15, 2008 at the Humanist Hall in Oakland.

The room was packed, the entertainment lively and compelling.

Sgt. Michael Poirier accepted PUEBLO's Community Leadership Award on behalf of Oakland Police Chief Wayne G. Tucker.
Chief Tucker Awarded

We were surprised by Kitty Kelly Epstein's presentation of a Proclamation from Mayor Dellums declaring November 15th PUEBLO day in Oakland honoring our 19 years of successful campaigns that have moved the social justice agenda in Oakland.

We value the support of those who attended the dinner, those who placed ads in our program book and those who donated, even though they were not able to attend this year.
