PUEBLO ANNUAL DINNER

Saturday, November 7th, 2009 at 6:00 PM

PUEBLO has been organizing Oakland residents to win campaigns in community health, environmental justice, education, living wage, youth leadership and community safety and police accountability for 20 years. Starting as a campaign for public health sponsored by the Center for Third World Organizing (CTWO), members decided to form their own organization and become a multi-issue, multi-generational, multi-racial, grassroots advocacy organization. PUEBLO invites the community to come and share with our members on Saturday, November 7th at the Lake Merritt Sailboat House as we celebrate the many reforms PUEBLO helped to win, sometimes alone and often, working with allies and in coalitions. Updates about the menu, entertainment and other special presentations will be available soon. For right now, mark your calendars to make sure you'll be on hand!
Our entertainment is starting to take final shape and promises to be intense!!! Check out Nitha at www.myspace.com/nithalashea and you'll get a sample of her rich, soulful voice. You're not going to want to miss her performance!
