City Council meets to decide 2 year budget!

Council members Kaplan, Nadel, Schaaf and Kernighan have proposed closing Internal Affairs to the public and consolidating the intake of complaints against police at the Citizens’ Police Review Board in the 2011-2013 budget. But we need one more vote from the remaining four Council members in order for it to be adopted. Please join us at the City Council Chambers at 5:30 PM and sign up for item #6, urging support for the proposal.

It’s NOT TOO LATE to make a difference.
Tell them:
• Internal Affairs is a waste of money and personnel
• Sworn officers should be promoting public safety, not investigating citizens’ complaints
